About Us

We are a friendly, family-oriented church. We have a strong desire to see lives changed, families strengthened, and the gospel preached to bring honor and glory to God. Perhaps God has a place for you here at Lancaster Independent Baptist Church to be part of our family and help us reach this community and our world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Lancaster Independent Baptist Church was founded on July 24, 2005. After much prayer, God led Pastor and Sheryl to move to Lancaster and start a church that would clearly preach the gospel with the dual goals of bringing glory to God and evangelizing the world. Our first two Sunday meetings were held at the former Holiday Inn on Greenfield road while we awaited approval from Manheim Township Zoning Hearing Board to approve the Neffsville Middle School as a longer term meeting location. Approval was granted and we began meeting at the school on August 7, 2005. Less than six years later, God provided our current meeting location at 33 East Center Street in Lititz. Since the inception of Lancaster Independent Baptist Church, God has allowed us to minister to the hearts of people from all over Lancaster County and even to tourists visiting from other states and countries.

God has given us a burden to reach the world from Lancaster and we currently support seven missionary families in countries like Cape Verde, Africa; Samoa; the Dominican Republic; France; and Italy. While we financially support these seven, we also pray for approximately 25 missionaries and their families around the world.

We are thankful to God for raising up a local church with a heart for the community, and we fervently pray that God will continue to allow us to be a beacon of His glory and a light shining the gospel of Jesus Christ into a lost and dying world.
